How to take a payment and allocate it against an invoice

Once an invoice has been created you can make a payment, this article covers the Manual payment methods,

Open the Invoice Details Screen, see this guide

  • Hover Payments / Claims from the action menu

  • Click Manual

  • The Payment Method Drawer will open showing the various payment methods

  • The various payment methods will be listed, you can enter the payment amount for the correct payment method, you can also take a split payment example part cash and part credit card.

  • Account Credit will appear if the patient has a credit on their account that is eligible for use

  • You can enter a payment note that will appear on the printed invoice, if you do not want it to appear on the invoice select private note

  • Click Take Payment

    Note: System validation will not allow you to pay more than the Current Balance

Payment Transactions

  • A payment transaction has been created for each payment method that was used to create the payment
