Cause:
Starting with Chrome 142, Google has implemented a new local network access security policy. This update may block requests from web pages—especially those loaded within iframes—to local addresses such as '127.0.0.1' or localhost, unless the user explicitly grants permission.
This change affects all TWAIN versions and also the Hicaps service that rely on local services for communication.
1. Hicaps
Some users might face an issue with Zavy not being able to detect any Hicaps terminals even though both Hicaps Connect & Zavy Bridge apps are connected to the terminal
2. Zavy Capture/WebScan
When taking xrays/photos using the Capture/Web Scan feature in Zavy, some users might see this page even when Twain is already installed and set up in their computer
Solution
1. Go to Chrome Settings > Privacy & Security > Site settings, notice for app.zavy.com the 'local network access' is blocked
2. Click into it and scroll down to the bottom, Allow local network access
3. After setting it to 'Allow', your Hicaps/Web Scan in Zavy should work as usual.
