IP Restriction allows organisation owners to limit access of their business data to only a specified and registered IP Address range. This way practice owners can prevent certain staff from accessing business data from outside of the clinic.
Note: Practice Owner should check with their IT provider before setting this up and make sure they have a static WAN IP. Below is the example of how to setup.
1. First, you will need to find out your IP address or check with your IT what is your clinic's static IP Address range.
2. Go to Settings>Business>Settings, scroll to the bottom to see the setting for the IP Address range.
*Note: Only Owners can edit this setting.
3. Once you have added the Allowed IP Address Range and saved the setting, you can now start applying the IP Restriction for certain staff members.
Go to Settings>Business>Staff, toggle ON under the IP Restricted column for the staff members you want to restrict location access.
*Note: Only Owners can toggle this.
Note:
This step will restrict the staff members from logging in from outside the network/IP range. Therefore, we recommend that 2FA to be turned on for all other staff that has access outside the IP range.
