SMTP Gmail Configuration

To configure the SMTP mail settings in Zavy using Gmail, you will need to create an application specific password on your Gmail account.

  1. To set up your mail settings, you will need a valid Gmail account.

  2. When you enter your details in Settings>Business>Email Setup, the following error appears: "535-5.7.8 Username and Password not accepted. For more information, go to"

  3. To resolve this, go to your Google Account settings page, search for 2-Step Verification, and enable it.

  4. After it is enabled, navigate to the App Passwords page.

  5. You will need to create one and name it as "Zavy".

  6. Copy the generated password and save it in a separate location (e.g., Notepad).

  7. Navigate to Settings>Business>Email Setup>Settings.


  8. Paste the password into the settings along with the other details and it should work. Ensure the following settings are filled in correctly as shown below.

    ​SMTP server name: smtp.gmail.com

    SMTP port: Port 587 for TLS (recommended or 465 for SSL.

    TLS/StartTLS: Enabled

    Username/email address: john.doe@yourcompanyname.com

    Password: The generated app password.

    ​Domain: Your domain name

    ​Authentication: Login
