SMTP Outlook Configuration

To configure the SMTP mail settings in Zavy using Outlook, you will need to create an application-specific password on your Outlook account.

  1. Sign in to to your Microsoft MySign-Ins page using your Microsoft365 email address and password. You may need to download the Microsoft Authenticator App to enter the verification code. Upon signing in, click on the Security Info tab.


  2. For SMTP to work with Zavy, you will need an App Password to use in Zavy.
    Click the Add sign-in method and under Add a Method, choose App Password.

    Note: If the App Password option not available, you need consult your admin to enable and enforce the MFA for you.

  3. Enter a name for your App Password, in this case you case use 'Zavy360 Email'

  4. Copy the generated password and paste it in a Notepad or you can click the Copy button (circled in orange) and paste it to a notepad.
    You will need it later to configure with Zavy Email Setup. Click Done button.

    Note: Save the generate password in a secure location. The password cannot be displayed again.

  5. The App Password method will be included in the Sign In method list.


  6. Navigate to Settings>Business>Email Setup>Settings.

  7. Enter your details as follows.
    Ensure the following settings are filled in correctly as shown below.
    SMTP server name: smtp.office365.com

    SMTP port: Port 587 (recommended) or port 25

    TLS/StartTLS: Enabled

    Username/email address: john.doe@yourcompanyname.com

    Password: The generated password.
    Domain: Your domain name
    Authentication: Login
    From Address: john.doe@yourcompanyname.com
