In some cases, duplicate patient profiles may exist for the same individual. This can occur when a new patient profile is created instead of using an existing one, often due to name variations or different patient details being entered.
Zavy does not allow patient profiles to be deleted, even if they are duplicates. However, Zavy provides a merge feature to help streamline workflows and maintain data integrity.
Note: Before proceeding with a merge, ensure that both profiles belong to the same patient. Always verify using multiple identifiers such as full name, date of birth, address, and contact details. Once duplicate patient profiles are merged, the action is irreversible.
Go into the patient profile you want to Merge From. In the top-right corner, hover over the three dots next to the Edit button and click Merge
Expand the information to review what will be merged into the primary patient profile. Then, search for the patient profile you want to Merge To. Type “I ACCEPT” to confirm and click the Merge button to complete the process.
Once the patient files are merged, the duplicate profile will be marked as “Merged” and will no longer be accessible.
