In some instances, there may be duplicate profiles for the same individual, with some of the patient's files or documents having been uploaded to either profile due to human error.
Currently, Zavy does not allow for deletion of patient profiles , even if they are duplicates. However, to retain the duplicate profiles and their contents (such as notes and images) for future reference, you can use the Family and Contacts tab to link the inactive profile as a family member in the active profile. This way, you can still access the linked profile, even if it is archived.
Note: Please ensure there are no upcoming appointments in the inactive profile that you're about to link to the active one. If there are, you'll need to cancel them and reschedule to the active profile."
Select the active patient profile that you wish to keep as the main one. Click on the Family and Contacts Tab. Click on the Create New Family button.
In the Family and Contacts section, search for the redundant or duplicate patient profile and click on the relevant profile to add it as a family member.
Once the redundant profile has been added as a family member, you can Archive the duplicate profile. The archived profile will no longer appear in the Patient Search.
Note: The archived profile and its contents will still be accessible via the active profile's Family and Contacts tab.
This process ensures that you retain access to all important information from the duplicate profile without cluttering your active patient list.
