In some cases, the practice may need to prepare a referral letter for a patient to ensure they receive appropriate specialist care. Below is a step-by-step guide on how to create a referral letter in Zavy360.

2. Navigate to Patient Profile > Referrals tab, then click Add Referral.
You can choose either Referral In or Referral Out.
Select Contact or Organisation, then choose the relevant contact
3. On the newly added referral, hover over the New button, then click Load Templates to load the referral letter template.
4. Select the Referral template you wish to use.
*Note: This is set up in your Settings > Templates > Documents v2, Referral document type
5. Edit the document content if required. Once complete, click Send. This will redirect you to the communication template selection page.
6. Select the referral communication template, or click Skip to proceed without one
*Note: This is set up in Settings > Templates > Communication, scroll down to the Referral category to edit or create a communication template
7. You can edit the communication content as needed. The referral letter will be attached to the email automatically. If you tick the SMS option, the letter will be included in the SMS as a link once it is sent.
8. To check that the email has been sent successfully, select the Referrer to go to the contact's profile, then navigate to the Communication tab.
The referral letter was sent successfully.
