The Online Booking feature within Catalogue > Services will be deprecated by the end of January 2026. After this date, online bookings can only be configured and managed in Appointment Shortcuts.
Here's a step by step guide on how to move your online booking services from the Catalogue into Appointment shortcuts.
1. Navigate to Catalogue > Services. Apply filters to display only service codes with Online Bookings enabled
2. Edit the service to view the service details and scroll down to the Online bookings section to refer to the setup. In this sample, the item code is '99Promo'.
3. Open a new browser tab, go to Settings > Calendar > Appointment Shortcuts. Create a new Appointment Shortcut or edit an existing one based on the service above.
In the Appt Shortcut page, you can add multiple item codes in the shortcut, you can either use the existing one you have (code 99Promo as in step 2) or use actual treatment item codes that are part of the treatment/package, or leave it blank depending on your preference.
4. Make sure to enable Online bookings on the shortcut, assign staff to it and fill in the other fields, you can also select which communication template to use for patients that books in using the shortcut.
5. If the service code is no longer needed, go to Catalogue > Services and archive it. Otherwise, you can keep it active but disable the Online booking feature on the item code.
6. Once all services have been moved to Appointment Shortcuts, navigate to Settings > Calendar > Online Bookings. Then, edit the setting to reorder the Appointment Shortcuts to how you want them to appear on your online booking site.
7. Lastly, you can go to your online booking site to verify all the shortcuts are displayed correctly and make any changes if needed.
