The v2 imaging viewer lets you save exactly how you've set up your screen — which images are open, how they're framed, their contrast, and your annotations — and bring it all back later with one click. This article covers saved views and the viewer's layout keyboard shortcuts, including recent reliability fixes.

Saved views
A saved view is a snapshot of your whole viewer setup:
The layout (how many viewports, and which image is in each)
Each image's framing — zoom and position
Each image's contrast / brightness (window & level)
Your annotations — measurements and text labels
Set the viewer up the way you want it, save the view, and reload it any time — for example, a comparison layout you return to at every review appointment.
Recently fixed — saved views now restore faithfully
If you tried saved views earlier and got back a smeared, over-zoomed image with your contrast and annotations missing, that was a bug — now fixed. Specifically:
Framing, contrast, and annotations all restore correctly when you load a saved view.
Older saved views that were corrupted by the bug are rescued automatically: when a stored view can't be applied safely, the viewer fits the image to the viewport instead of rendering garbage. You may need to re-set your preferred framing once and re-save, but nothing will look broken.
Text and measurement labels no longer drift after you resize the window or reload — they stay pinned to the anatomy they were placed on.
Layout keyboard shortcuts
Switch viewer layouts from the keyboard with Shift + a digit — the same layouts as the layout menu button, without reaching for the mouse.
These shortcuts now work even before any image is loaded, so you can set up your grid first and then drop images into it.
FAQs & gotchas
Are saved views per user or shared?
A saved view belongs to the patient's imaging workspace where you created it — reload it from the same place you saved it.
I loaded an old saved view and the framing reset to fit-to-screen.
That view was saved while the old bug was active, and its stored framing was unusable. The viewer now falls back to a safe fit instead of the previous 36,000%-zoom smear. Re-frame it the way you like and save again — the new save will restore perfectly.
My measurements disappeared after saving a view.
This was part of the same bug and is fixed — annotations are captured with the view now. Views saved after the fix keep their measurements.
Shift+number does nothing.
Make sure the viewer has focus (click anywhere inside it first). The shortcuts map to the same options as the layout menu button in the toolbar.
