Before you start you should have created a treatment plan and have the dental module activated, please reach out to support if you require access to the dental module
Once you have created a plan we can start adding some items to that plan, there are multi areas to do this, if you have the dental module loaded you can do this from the dental charting screen which we will cover now, alternatively you can click on the plan tab (please note sub plans are not supported in this mode so we will select the dental charting mode)
To Create a Sub Plan / Variation click on Create Plan from within the dental treatment planner
Manually Search Item Codes or Name
You can manually add items by searching for them in the Chart Actions area which allows you to add standard items as well as Tooth or Surface specific dental items. Selecting tooth specific items will result in additional information being requested.
Use Treatment Shortcuts
Treatment Shortcuts allow you to add multiple treatments items into a plan and even assign appointments to those items with the click of a button, we will cover treatment shortcuts in their own guide but for now, just know they also are a way of quickly adding treatment items into a plan.

Again another popular way of entering treatment items into a plan, first select either a tooth or surface then click on one of the treatment items on the left-hand side of the screen.
Important things to note when using this method.
Zavy allows the bulk adding of treatment items to one or multiple teeth
There are 2 areas of a Tooth you can click, the Tooth or the somewhere on Surface (MODBP) You cannot multi-select surfaces and teeth together, if you are performing a bulk add the selection has to be all surfaces or all teeth.
