Overview
Patients may return after a prolonged period of inactivity, a situation often referred to as drop-off or churn. Zavy allows you to automatically reactivate these patients, ensuring they can be scheduled and recalled without manual intervention.
How to Enable Automatic Reactivation
1. Allow Staff to Search for Inactive Patients
To enable staff to find and reactivate inactive patients:
Go to Settings > Business
Click Edit
Find the field Select Patient Statuses to Include in Search Results
Use the dropdown menu to select the statuses you want to include (e.g., Active, Inactive)
Save your changes
2. Automatically Clear Drop-Off Dates
To allow inactive patients to be included in future recalls:
From the same Settings > Business page
Enable Automatically Clear the Drop-Off Value on a Successful Booking
This setting removes the drop-off date when a patient books an appointment, making them eligible for future recalls
3. Auto-Reactivate Patients When Booking
Ensure returning patients are automatically set to Active when scheduling an appointment:
From Settings > Business
Switch Automatically Reactivate Patients with Non-Active Statuses When Scheduling an Appointment to On
This will change their status from Inactive to Active when they book an appointment
By enabling these settings, you can eliminate manual reactivation and ensure a smoother experience for both patients and staff.
